there was an Engineer who was happy about his life. The Engineer believed he had enough skills and qualities to feel competent as a human being. However, there was one skill that he envied, for he didn't possess it.
The Engineer had always wanted to be able to express the ideas in his head by drawing. However, he never was able to keep enough motivation to gain proficiency in this treasured skill, for transferring his thoughts on paper was a difficult trial! Being left-handed, the white sheets always seemed to have a will to flee from his pencil! Struggling with this untamed art, the lines he drew always seemed too bold or too pale, no matter the pencil he used! Lacking the adequate tools, his ink always seemed to ruin his sketches!
It didn't take long for the Engineer to give up. Months passed without a second attempt from him : soon, the idea faded into a lost dream.
Then, during his time spent into Virtuality, the Engineer met an Artist. This was no ordinary artisan, but one who could bring dreams to reality by the wonder of drawing! As soon as the Engineer witnessed the Artist's work, the lost dream emerged back from abandon.
"Artist, listen to my complaint!" The Engineer pleaded to his new friend. "I envy your talent, yet I cannot bring myself to work toward creating my own. Paper flees from my left hand! Lines rebel and take the wrong weight! Ink is my sworn enemy!"
"I do not fight with paper, draw on paper nor ink on paper." The Artist answered. "My drawings are directly linked to this machine I use to talk to you. In fact, I am surprised you, such an experienced traveler in Virtuality, did not think of it sooner." She mused to the Engineer's growing curiosity which she quickly began to satisfy.
"Seek a graphics tablet, Engineer. With it, you may learn my art without such obstacles in your path." The Artist suggested; moments later, the Engineer searched virtual spaces and found a merchant willing to sell him the tool.
And so, the Engineer returned the next day to his adobe with his new obsidian tablet, ready to begin a new journey toward learning his envied art.
